Chase Outdoors Premium Guided Fishing Trips

A moment of fishing, for a lifetime of memories starts here.

As my hair starts to fall out and turn gray, I look back at my fondest memories and they are filled with time in the woods and on the water.  I am so blessed to have been raised in north central Wisconsin where water abounds and the fish species are as numerous as any place I've ever fished in freshwater.  Of all of the places I have fished, my favorite it still right here at home.  It is never boring, ever changing and adventurous.  It is my pleasure to present you with the opportunity to join my partners and I as we launch into God's underwater world.  I have spent more than half of my life as a licensed fishing guide.  We have been featured on multiple national and local tv programs.  I have guided professional athletes, politicians and folks from all 50 states.  The laughs, hoots and hollars are unforgettable.  Below you will find our extensive offerings available through our outdoor pro shop.  We encourage you to book today as our schedule fills quickly but with our team of professionals can often work in short notice.

We specialize in corporate and group outings up to 20 people.

We can assist with lodging, taxidermy and meal planning.

We are licensed by the Wisconsin DNR.

MUSKY

The musky is the king of the water. Lurking below its mammoth size strikes the imagination and excitement of anglers. Known at the fish of 10,000 casts, this is not an easy target for anglers but our waters shave that number of casts down dramatically. The Wisconsin River system is famous for a great population of muskies that can reach massive lengths and weights. Our trips commonly included full and half day outings on the river and or local flowages as well as full days casting in the many waters of the northwoods. While all times of year are productive, the fall months provide the greatest weights and successful fishing with live bait presentations making it a popular time for our anglers.

SMALLMOUTH BASS

Wisconsin is the greatest smallmouth bass state in the nation, period. We are full of smallmouth bass that fight like beasts and grow big. The river system offers great fishing April - October with good trophy potential, some smashing topwater strikes and a ton of fun. Our most popular smallmouth fishing is in late May and early June when spawning smallmouth bass in the northwoods can be caught sight fishing and often reach and exceed five pounds and it is not uncommon to land dozens and dozens in a day. This is hands down the best time and way to take someone new or young to the sport of fishing.

LARGEMOUTH BASS

Outside of our excellent catfish and carp hunts, there is no species for us more underappreciated than largemouth bass. Because we are not Texas or Florida, we don't get a ton of call for largemouth bass trips but you're missing out! Wisconsin has endless excellent largemouth fisheries with a lot of really good fish. Action can be constant, strikes can be explosive and is where I dedicate my time as a tournament angler. Either choose some of the large systems for all day fun or some of our backwoods difficult access waters hold huge populations and size without the pressure that gives you the true getaway feel! Can easily be mixed in with some northern pike and quality panfish to make it an ideal family outing!

WALLEYE

Walleye fishing provides one of our most sought after trips. Anglers love the challenge of walleye fishing along with the incredible bounty of their fillets. Because of the regulations on our river system, we are able to fish and harvest walleye year round. These are an incredible action fish and March – April is prime spawning time. From there we jig the river system and troll on the flowages. In winter, fishing tip ups and jigging are a common practice for us and annually we land several trophies mixed in with good eaters. As of the past couple years, the quality of our walleye fishing is the best it has been in years!

CRAPPIE

Black Crappie fishing in our area is excellent. Our flowages hold large numbers of thick crappies that offer excellent action and table fare. Spring offers exceptional fishing during the spawn in shallow water. During the summer we move to deep water suspended and it our most popular ice fishing outting. We have landed crappies exceeding 17” over the years locally and can be mixed in with other specie outting like walleye. If looking for a big fish fry with the family, there is no better option.

NORTHERN PIKE

If looking for violent strikes, big angry fish and excellent table fare, it is difficult to beat the northern pike. I personally love going on a weedly flat and watching lures get smashed by these torpedos all day. Northern Pike in our area our abundant and have the potential to grow to trophy size. We have some waters with trophy regulations and a lot of small hidden lakes that provide some excellent private, seculded Canadian-like outings without the drive and border patrol! They are just pure fishing fun!
